Membership: How to Join the Junior League of Williamsport

Thank you for your interest in the Junior League of Williamsport. Membership is open to all women, 21 years of age, who are committed to promoting voluntarism, interested in developing their potential and who have the desire to improve the local community.

A new member (Provisional) participates in a training program. After completing the New Member Training a new member becomes an active member.

Enrollment is open year round.

Promoting Voluntarism

The Junior League of Williamsport partners with organizations in the community assisting in one day projects. Recent partnerships include:

• United Way
• Red Cross Bloodmobile
• Adopt-A-Family

Developing the Potential of Women

The Junior League of Williamsport offers a variety of training opportunities to league members and the community.

Improving the Community

The Junior League of Williamsport has initiated or contributed to the following projects.

• Children’s Discovery Workshop
• Literacy Read-Ins at the Center
• Food Allergy Awareness to local schools and restaurants
• Born to Read
• Newspapers in Education
• Historical Preservation
• Well-Baby Clinics

We offer Community Opportunity Grants. Grants are may be dispersed to those individuals or organizations whose requests meet the JLW Vision: "The JLW is a regional resource and advocate committed to improving the quality of life for children and their families."
